It seem to me that this year is all about remembering the good old experience that I’ve had throughout the previous decade… And this time it was all about rocking a little runway for a young Latvian brand RONDINE. It was Julia’s, probably one of my biggest partners in fashion crime in this country, message slash invitation to be a model for that night that at some point made me think: “Hell yes, I want to do it again”.
The only thing that I was worried about before the show was actually the fact wether I’m going to fit any of the RONDINE dresses. As you know, I’m a mid-sized woman and such shows and garments are not really meant for us. It is more for skinny girls. Now what did surprise me were pretty natural girls that rocked the runway with me that night. I mean natural in terms of their looks, of their shapes. And that made me feel quite comfortable actually.
Now speaking of the RONDINE and its designer Veronica Rondine. What I saw in her eyes is the passion towards what she’s doing. Passion for fashion and beauty, I would even say. And, you know, I like people with such attitude, because that’s where you see the real art.
If I am to talk about the collection, I have to point out the fact that it’s not only beautiful, feminine and light… it’s also super wearable. I mean, I can easily see the RONDINE dress being worn for a prom, theatre, cocktail party and so on and so on. Shall I say that these dresses can easily turn the whole world into your own runway?
