And once again we’re going to have this body kind of talk. Will it be about body positivity? I don’t know yet. But I really want it to be about self-acceptance and appreciation of a group of women that isn’t that much represented in the world of fashion.
And this group is called mid-size women. A group in which I currently am in. What’s this size about and how it different from, for example, plus-size? According to various sources, mid-size is everything from size UK 10 to UK 16. And according to Femme Luxe sizing, I’m around 12-14. In general terms, mid-size is between the skinny sort of ones and plus-size.
So if you’ve been wondering whether you are a plus-size size girl, then check your sizing once again according to the data above. As you might end up being in that between group of mid-sizers. Be it a good or a bad piece of news is up to you though…
Speaking of my own self, I’ve been wondering for quite some time if I actually am a plus-size woman or what and the mid-size category actually came to me as a discovery. And it’s true that this group of women is not heavily represented in the world of fashion as the skinny or plus-size one.
To be fully honest with you, this little discovery and the fact that I’m still not a plus-size woman made me less nervous about my body. Is getting into plus size connected with fear – for me yes. And I do understand this fear is somewhat irrational. And I want to get rid of it as well. I would really want to feel fine whenever I lose or gain a kilo or two.
Probably, that’s why I decided to go for such a risky and brave kind of combination from Femme Luxe. I wanted to feel cool. I wanted to feel sexy. I wanted to feel powerful. I wanted to feel myself for all those 100%. And I think I got to that point.
