It’s the year 2020. It’s a new decade. And, yes, I won’t stop repeating it for quite some time still. But who would have thought in April 2011 that Practical Queen AP will go that far? I mean, I started my blog almost 9 years ago (this number is actually a little scary from some point, as for me) without any second thought that it will allow me to turn into almost a full-time blogger years later.
Now, to be fully honest there were moments throughout these years when I kept loosing the initial focus of my blogging thing. The focus with which I started this blog – to share my outfits, thoughts and life with the world… But then again there were such moments when Practical Queen AP literally saved my life. Like in the end of 2016 and throughout 2017, right before I was officially diagnosed with endogenous depression. The blog and all the collaborations kept me somehow attached to this world and helped me not to loose myself for all 100%.
Lately I’ve been going through quite an interesting yet strange period of my life. I am now thinking of changing my direction of work. No fuss! Practical Queen AP is going nowhere. I still plan to run my blog, as regularly as possible. And who even knows, maybe at the very last I will change my mind again and decide not to leave blogging at all and so on… Yes, my head is full of different thoughts these days!
Speaking of Practical Queen AP, back in December I decided to make quite a serious move and leave Google’s Blogger platform. I mean, the old part of the blog is still there, but it was also moved to WordPress. Why I decided to move? Well, partially because I underwent a pretty interesting course on Udemy about SEO, Social Media and Digital Marketing. The lecturer Tom talked and showed quite a lot of WordPress and it was the last point that convinced me to relocate.
I gained so many new tools and possibilities, comparing to Google’s Blogger. But no way I’m trying to say that Blogger platform is bad or something like this. Like, I spent 8 years out there doing my blogging thing and felt very satisfied. But it was a high time to make this step further. It was so much needed. And Practical Queen AP blog deserved it. So, yes, Practical Queen AP is going nowhere. It’s still my way to share my world with the rest of the world.
